GAMES REQUIRING ADVANCED DEVELOPMENTAL UNDERSTANDING & ACHIEVEMENT IN TECHNOLOGICAL ENDEAVORS
A team of educational researchers, scientists, and engineers from George Mason University, NC State University, UNC Chapel Hill, and Duke University are partnering with teachers and administrators from Durham County Schools (NC), Lee County Schools (NC), Spotsylvania County Schools (VA), the NC Business Committee for Education, The Kenan Fellow Program, and Virtual Heroes, Inc. to pilot GRADUATE.
Over three years, GRADUATE will investigate the effects of student creation of STEM career-related games under the guidance of their teacher advisors, meeting NC’s new Graduation Project Requirement.
